Hi....

for my understanding,
you're trying to run JAVA applets on OS/2, is it ?

Currently, JAVA alpha released by Sun are for Solaris, Win'95, and WinNT
It seems that you'd like to run the Win95 or WinNT version on WIN-OS/2.
I don't think that's gonna be possible, since those Win95 and WinNT
version are NOT running on Win 3.1; though Win 3.1 support Win32S, which
is the subset of Win32.
I don't know whether JAVA for Win95 and WinNT using native Win32, but
from that statement, it's obvious.

For your info, Win-OS/2 only support Win32S for certain relese version
(i can't recall it...).

So, is it hopeless ?
Absolutely not !!

Since IBM also licenses JAVA, NOW, it is already available the version
for AIX and OS/2 ones. Well... still for internal use only yet...
So, if you're able to access IBM Internal network, you can download
the OS/2 version from IBM Hursley, UK.....(using your Web Browser)..
and having your JAVA applet running on your OS/2 NATIVE....

So... happy trying......:)

Your Sincerely,
